Exit provokes the encounter between a cinematographic proposition – attempting to film a border, even and perhaps more so, as it disappears – and the discourse of those whose living depends on their existence, even and perhaps more so, if these professions are becoming now outdated.
A border here (in the “centre” of Europe) and there (in Europe’s limits) is not the same thing : therefore, throughout the film we will gradually travel from the borders in the centre to those in the exterior. Travel towards something, towards a limit, get beyond it, and yet, keep on travelling.
