La Louvière was built around the factory, Royal Boch, founded in 1841. In 2011, there remains only one building of what was the Belgian flagship of porcelain. The abandoned space is a scar in the landscape of the city. Each Louviérois is more or less connected to Royal Boch , various witnesses attest of that.
