Cafe Frima - Brass - avenue Van Volxem 364 - 1190 Forest

Café Frima*s #5

11 am > 6 pm - free entrance

Around a fireplace, a view, a bar, some soup, a sound menu, a TV program, readings, a small library, talks, stories, and sometimes music...
These are the ingredients of Café Frima*s, an initiative of Taraxacum asbl & Erow projects, which converts twice a week the engine room of the Brass in a large warm lounge.
Every month, in collaboration with Taraxacum, 68 Septante chooses a film from its catalog, La Vidéothèque Nomade, for the TV program.

In december we invite you to discover Charlotte Randour’s film:
- L’argent des pauvres (24’ - 2005 - BE)

PNG - 153.5 kb

The film is set in a socialist and post-industrial town, where the closing of mines and factories has caused poverty and destitution.
After being fired, the filmaker’s mother decided to invest in a twin house which she could pay for entirely with her social fee.
She lives there with her son and his teenage friends. We learn about their daily struggles for water and electricity, their communication with the neighborhood…
The film allows us to understand this exceptional woman, as well as the implications of her choices.
