CINéCLUB : LE FEU FOLLET

8 pm - free entrance

Third collaboration with Clignoteur’s team: a CINéCLUB around films from our collection La Vidéothèque Nomade and sometime more...
This date, every two month, offers a selection of films in relation to the exhibition curated by Le Clignoteur.

Tonight our CINéCLUB, in echo in the exhibition of Patrice Deweer Le Feu Follet, we embark you into the strange universe of SUB, a middle-length film by Julien Loustau.

SUB - Julien Loustau - 45’ - 2006 - FR
- teaser

The Vostok Lake has been locked up under the ice of the Antarctic and cut off from the outside world for millions of years.
The only technology that would allow human beings to reach this lake without risking to contaminate it would be the Cryobot, a probe conceived by the Nasa to explore sub-glacial oceans on Mars.
In the Three Gorges area, the biggest hydro-electric project in the world is nearing completion. The dam has already flooded 600 km of valleys and dislocated over 1.8 million Chinese people.
During a night trip upon the Yangtze River, exploring its banks from a distance, the film contemplates the cryobot’s lonely odyssey through the ice of the Vostok Lake.
